Painless is a Chrome extension that helps desk workers take active breaks during the workday. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains clearly and completely what data the extension handles and how.
Painless is an independent Chrome extension developed and maintained as a personal project. Painless is a wellness tool — it is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and does not constitute healthcare or physiotherapy services.
Painless collects only the minimum information needed to function:
All data is stored exclusively on your device — in your
browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). Nothing is transmitted to any
external server, third party, or cloud service.
We do not collect:
The data described above is used only to:
Your data is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond core extension functionality.
We do not sell, share, rent, or otherwise disclose your data to any third party — ever. Because all data remains on your device, it is technically impossible for us to access it.
Data persists in your browser's local storage until you remove it. You can delete all stored data at any time by:
We have no ability to delete your data on your behalf, as we have no access to it.
Painless requests the following Chrome permissions:
No permission is used for any purpose beyond what is described above.
Painless is intended for adults who work at a desk. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 16.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where possible, notify users through the extension's Chrome Web Store listing. Continued use of Painless after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Painless is a wellness tool designed to encourage regular movement breaks during sedentary work. It is not a substitute for professional medical or physiotherapy advice. If you experience persistent pain or discomfort, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Painless also operates AI-Fizjo, a Telegram-based chatbot that provides general physiotherapy-related information in response to messages you send. AI-Fizjo works differently from the Painless extension described above: it is not a local, on-device tool, and it does process data on external servers. This section explains specifically how AI-Fizjo handles your data.
AI-Fizjo is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis. It is an educational and informational tool only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for any persistent pain, injury, or medical concern.
Because this includes health-related data, we rely on your explicit, informed consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR) before any conversation begins. You will be asked to actively confirm this consent before the bot asks about your symptoms. You may withdraw your consent at any time — see Section 15 below.
Your messages are used only to:
Your email, if provided, is used only to contact you about early access to the Painless mobile app. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with advertisers.
Unlike the Painless extension, AI-Fizjo data is not stored locally on your device. It is processed and stored using the following external services, which act as our data processors:
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with any third party beyond the processors listed above, who handle it only on our instructions.
We retain your conversation data for up to 12 months from your last message, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by sending the message "USUŃ MOJE DANE" to the bot. We will remove your data within 7 days of your request.
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
